Although entries from this region are always very impressive, never before have they been so plentiful and of such an extremely high calibre.
No less than 19 different countries took part while new countries competing this year included Taiwan and Kazakhstan. Interestingly, Vietnam had a particularly strong presence submitting more entries than in any previous year. The winners were announced on Friday, April 16th at The Langham Hotel in Hong Kong at a gala dinner and networking day attended by hundreds of leading property professionals from across Asia Pacific. Presenter for the evening was Paul Gordon, news broadcaster for Bloomberg Television.
These awards are part of the International Property Awards which was established 16 years ago and cover residential as well as commercial categories. As the world’s most prestigious competition, its prime focus is to seek out the best real estate professionals across the globe.
Later this year, top scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards will compete against other winning companies from Europe & Africa, the UK, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate World’s Best in each category. Last year, the Asia Pacific region scooped no less than seven World’s Best awards – an amazing feat and two more than it achieved the year before. The property industry is now watching with great interest to see if this amazing record can be matched or possibly even beaten when the final results are revealed in London on November 26th.
Stuart Shield, president of the International Property Awards, says, “Once again I’ve been staggered by the excellence shown by the winning companies across the Asia Pacific region and, indeed, the overall quality of entries throughout. The gala dinner in Hong Kong where the awards were presented provided the ideal scene for our winners to celebrate their success in style. It was also very satisfying to see so many leading property professionals making new business contacts at the networking event during the day.”
